Must have for every parent! This is an eye-opening book. Based on the understanding of children's psychology, deep respect towards little people and the will to help children grow happy and independent (instead of training them to be skillful and obedient). Although it introduces quite complex problems, it's very informative thanks to its simple language and real-life case studies (it's very American, but most of the problems have their universal level). When we read it we realise how much our parents influenced our own lifes. Now we try to incorporate the ideas introduced by the authors. And they (usually :) ) work!

A new look at stress-free parenting

For all those who thought that self-sacrifice is the path to good parenting here is a book that tells you otherwise. Yes, children count, but, so do you. A simply written book with lots of real life examples on how to get your entire family 'liberated' from those daily 'I say yes - you say no' arguements. A definite read if you've come out of a parent-child fight wishing you could take a permanent vacation on a remote island. After reading this book you'll actually want to take your children with you ! Happy parenting !

The best book EVER on parenting!

This is really the best parenting book, and i have read a few! but this book is the only one you will ever need to read; it is the book that should be offered to new parents upon delivery along with the diapers! the book holds your hand, guides you through to the answers while simultaneously teaching you how to OWN a new behavior.
